Atlante Yachts: updates on Classic 35 construction and Classic 42 design announcement
Atlante Yachts company does not have construction facilities of its own, but designs projects and provides yacht owners with a total new build service from design to construction supervision, placing orders at various shipyards
Atlante Yachts brand offers three superyacht ranges: Mistral, Levante and Classic.
The name of the 34.48-metre Classic 35 boat currently in build at Turkish Mengi Yay facility refers to her traditional exterior and layout, developed by VYD studio both on the outside and inside.
According to the designers, the NB111 hull featuring naval architecture by Arrabito Naval Architects is semi-custom, which means the owner is free to choose out of a variety of layouts and finishing materials.
According to Atlante Yachts, work on the Classic 35 is currently “at an advanced stage”: the hull has been primed, the superstructure faring is complete, the engine room's outfitting has already started. The lower deck furniture and panels are ready and “scheduled for installation during the Christmas period”.
The order is order for an experienced Northern European client, and the vessel is scheduled for delivery in the spring of 2025. With a length of 34.5 m and a beam of 8.24 m, the Classic 35’s internal volume is 330 GT.
The yacht can accommodate 10 guests in five cabins. There is also a lot of storage space, a beach club, saloons and extensive deck areas.
With a steel displacement hull the yacht has a range of over 5000 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 11 knots thanks to her fuel capacity of 40 000L and twin 850 hp Volvo Penta D16 MH engines with IMO Tier III certification. The provisional top speed is 14 knots, and CMC LR 90 CMC LR 90 electrical stabilisers will take care of the guests’ comfort both underway and at anchor.
The flagship of the series, the Classic 42, has been designed by Trieste-based VYD Studio mentioned above.
“The Atlante Classic 42 design is the natural progression and evolution of the Atlante Classic 35. As well as more volume, more usable space, bigger deck areas and longer overall length, it features an additional rear covered infinity pool and convertible beach club as well as a fly bridge jacuzzi adding to the “lifestyle” elements, as well as a practical tender garage,” commented head of design, Paolo Dose.
The pool and convertible beach club aft can be used both in the open and “closed” position. Thus, during a long passage it can be covered with teak, which increases the usable area of the main deck aft.
According to Paolo Dose, the Classic 42 “retains the oceangoing capabilities” and the robust steel / aluminium construction of the Classic 35, while “optimizing volume and use of space in a timeless package that will never go out of fashion”.
