The deal was finalised on 30 December, and now Heesen Yachts has revealed that the owner of the superyacht is an experienced yachtsman, who has requested to make a number of modifications in order “to tailor the vessel to his lifestyle, ensuring year-round enjoyment”.
It won’t be an exaggeration to say that Heesen’s Steel FDHF series is one of the most sought-after. The reasons for this are the expansive internal volume of 760 GT, classic exterior and good seaworthiness.
Among the brightest representatives of 55m Steel FDHF featuring exterior design by Omega Architects, there is Reliance, Moskito and Iris Blue, while a number of other projects are to be delivered in the coming years. As for the Angelica, her debut is scheduled for the spring of 2027, but prior to that the owner’s team together with Heesen and Luca Dini Design’s teams have “to personalise the yacht’s interior aesthetics to reflect the client’s unique preferences and create a truly one-of-a-kind superyacht”.
The client is said to be well acquainted with Heesen brand and its 55m Steel FDHF series. He values the internal volume of 760 GT and extensive customisation opportunities the superyacht can offer. The overall interior area spans almost 400 sq.m, so there will be plenty of room both for lounging and socializing for up to 12 guests, including seven cabins at their disposal.
The Fast Displacement Hull Form designed by Van Oossanen Naval Architects will ensure reduced fuel consumption and comfort both at anchor and underway in various sea conditions. Two diesel MTU 8V4000 M63 IMO III engines of 1000 kW each will deliver a top speed of 15.5 knots and provide a transatlantic range of 4500 nautical miles at a speed of 13 knots.
“I am delighted with this new contract and thoroughly enjoyed the sales process, which allowed us to work closely with a sophisticated client and his experienced team. Their vision for Project Angelica was both challenging and inspiring, engaging our design and engineering teams as they crafted innovative solutions to meet the client’s specific requirements,” shared Ruud van der Stroom, Chief Commercial Officer of Heesen Yachts.
According to Stroom, the 55m Steel FDHF series offers clients an exceptional opportunity to express their individuality and realise their ambitions thanks to the combination of a striking exterior design, outstanding seaworthiness and exceptional level of Dutch craftsmanship.
The delivery of Project Angelica aka YN 21255 is scheduled for Q2 2027.
