The shipyard’s future flagship currently known as the SW123 is an entirely new and highly customizable platform
The model was developed by the yard’s long-time partners: the naval architecture is owed to Farr Yacht Design company, while Nauta Design studio is in charge of the exterior and interior of the vessel.
It is known that the boat is built for an experienced owner, who is going to operate her himself and offer her for charter, too.
According to the shipyard, the SW123 will open a new Smart Custom direction, and will not only become its flagship, but a customizable platform: exquisite, elegant, boasting speed, maneuverability and seaworthiness.
The manufacturer promises that the SW123 will be the lightest performance cruiser in her range, “delivering the perfect balance between high performance and the deep connection with the sea expected from a true sailing yacht”.
The SW123 hull with a length of 37.46 m and a beam of 8.18 m that is currently in build at a facility in Cape Town is a composite sandwhich of corecell and outer skin of carbon and epoxy resin.
Like other sailing yachts, the flagship can be equipped with a telescopic keel that reduces the draft from 5.9 to 3.8 m, but other options are available, too.
The shipyard has not revealed all the details of the project yet, but the first SW123 unit is scheduled for launch in February 2027.
