Construction of the Sanlorenzo 65Steel, scheduled to complete in 2028, will be overseen by brokerage firm Arcon Yachts that represents the owner

The exterior of the Sanlorenzo 64Steel was developed by Officina Italiana Design, while the interiors will be entrusted to the shipyard’s longtime partner, Zuccon International Project. The naval architecture is developed by Sanlorenzo’s inhouse team.

The new 65Steel is based on the yard’s flagship platform, 64Steel, which was unveiled in 2019 with the launch of the 64.3-metre Attila yacht. Later Sanlorenzo increased the size range of the model with an extended 64/70 platform. Now the yachts of the “Steel family” can vary in size to satisfy different owners’ needs, and it takes less time than if each vessel had to be designed from scratch.

Just like her predecessors the 65Steel will feature a steel displacement hull and aluminium superstructure. There will be plenty of exterior and interior lounge areas across the five decks, as well as a beach club, a pool and a helipad. For now, there are no other details available about the vessel’s layout.

The yacht has a length of 65 m, a beam of 11.9 m and internal volume comparable to that of larger yachts. When working on the first yacht in the series, the yard announced that it was going to set new internal volume standards, and for the 65 Steel it is impressive indeed: 1,300 GT!

The creators of the vessel promise non-standard engineering and layout solutions for the accommodation of 12 guests across six luxurious cabins, as well as a crew of 13. The yacht will be powered by twin MTU engines that can deliver a top speed of 17 knots, a cruising speed of 12.5 knots and a range of over 5,000 nautical miles at the economy speed of 11 knots. Construction on the 65Steel is already in progress and the delivery is scheduled for 2028.
