13 of the strongest crews of the country have taken part in the regatta. Among the participants there are yachtsmen from Moscow, Vladivostok, Sevastopol, Sochi, Taganrog, Izhevsk, Gelendzhik, Tolyatti, Yevpatoria and Saint Petersburg
Four races were held on Friday. Once again, the weather in Saint Petersburg proved its absolute unpredictability: rain alternated with sunshine and light winds alternated with strong gusts. Competitors had to react quickly to the changing conditions, but most teams dealt with the challenges quite successfully.
By the end of the day, the 2024 and 2025 season champion, Bars Sailing Team, took the lead with 7 points. Ptichki Sailing Team was 11 points behind, and W Sailing Team finished the day with a third result (20 points).
Four more races were held on the second day of the competition. Bars Sailing Team (15 points) managed to hold on to the top spot in the standings, but W Sailing Team came close to it, losing by just one point at the end of the day. Ptichki Sailing Team with 35 points was third.
No races could be held on Sunday, so the previous day results became final. Bars Sailing Team won the stage, W Sailing Team is second place, and Ptichki Sailing Team came third.
The next stage of the J/70 Russian Cup will be held on June 25-29 at Smolenka yacht port in Saint Petersburg.
