According to the yard, the yacht will begin the story of a new class of full custom superyacht and define “a new genre”
The Sea Club 53 superyacht capable of carrying lots of toys and tenders has been launched at the shipyard’s facility in Antalya. The final outfitting will soon be complete, after which the vessel will go on sea trials. The delivery of the Sea Club 53 to her owner is scheduled for this August.
According to the shipyard, the superyacht boasts a number of features, which will make her stand out in the sub-500 GT size range. For instance, she can carry a helicopter, a submarine, a 13-metre guest tender, an 8-metre crew tender, two sailing catamarans, two dinghies, two jet skis, diving gear and an impressive collection of water toys.
At the same time there will be enough space left for a generous master and two guest cabins, as well as social and lounging areas.
“The Sea Club 53 showcases the very best of our capabilities here at Alia Yachts. We’re thrilled to see her in the water demonstrating her full potential for operating in great comfort at speeds up to 15 knots. It is a testament to our expert technical, engineering and boatbuilding teams here at Alia, as well as the close collaboration we have enjoyed with Azure Yacht Design for the exterior design and layout development, and with Diana Yacht Design for the naval architecture underpinning the hull. The Sea Club 53 has been an ambitiously rapid build. Thanks to an excellent relationship with the owner’s team at Technical Marine UK and quick thinking at our end, we have brought the project from dream to floating reality in a little over two years,” said Alia Yachts president, Gökhan Çelik.
The yacht was built for the owner who wanted a fast, maneuverable boat, offering the style and comfort of a superyacht. The Sea Club 53 was designed to become a kind of “starting point” for doing water sports, exploring the underwater world and travelling by helicopter, while her ample spaces are suitable for parties and social gatherings.
To speed up the construction process the shipyard decided to build her constructed in three separate parts, after which the hull, the superstructure and the heli deck were joined late in 2022. The heli deck is fully certified to H-145, and there are 50 square metres of toy storage space below deck, alongside a dedicated water sports centre. Moreover, the vessel carries over 20 modular water park elements, allowing her crew to create a complex new feature for the guests’ entertainment every day.
“The launch of project Sea Club marks the start of a whole new concept in the yachting industry. A unique combination of luxurious guest accommodation, enormous storage for tenders and toys and an unparalleled number of entertainment possibilities. The owner’s goal was to fit the storage and the entertainment amenities which would be usually found on an 80m+ vessel, while keeping the rich and elegant look of a superyacht,” said said Onne Logger from Azure Yacht Design.
