The new build by Turkish AvA Yachts will undergo sea trials in the nearest months and  make its official debut at the world’s major yacht shows in September 2026, including the Cannes Yachting Festival and the Monaco Yacht Show

The keel of the first Kando 85 was laid in March 2024 on spec, and the yacht was sold early in 2025. The exterior design, naval architecture and interior styling were developed inhouse.

The vessel’s superstructure is of aluminium, and the hull is of steel, with an underwater thickness ranging from eight to ten millimetres. The displacement hull features several watertight bulkheads, which guarantees the Kando 85’s safety even if one of the sections is flooded. The exterior finishes are durable, too: the windows are of tempered glass, and there is 12 mm teak decking on all weather-exposed decks. All of this makes the V suitable for a wide range of destinations and climates and makes her safe and comfortable even in severe, northern areas.

The yacht promises impressive autonomy: with twin diesel Volvo Penta D13 engines of 360-408 hp, the Kando 85 can reach a top speed of 12–14 knots and a cruising speed of 9-10 knots, while the fuel tank of 16,000-20,000 L (the volume varies depending on the modification) will ensure a range of over 4,000 nautical miles.

Thanks to the elongated second deck, there are generous lounge areas, including the lounge with a jacuzzi on the foredeck and a cosy cockpit with a comfortable access to the swim platform. The aft section of the upper deck can be used for sunbathing or storing Opacmare or Besenzoni tenders that can be launched with the help of a hydraulic 500 kg crane. But the biggest surprise is probably the flybridge on top of the superstructure, where one can sunbathe or have parties under the stars, as in addition to comfortable sofas there is also a bar and a grill.

With a length of 25.7 m, a beam of 7.5 m and a maximum draft of 2.3 m, the Kando 85 offers the internal volume of 160 GT, which is not large, but very smartly distributed.

There are four guest cabins: a full-fledged master suite on the main deck, a full-beam VIP cabin and two more guest cabins below deck. One should note here that all the cabins can boast really high ceilings with a minimal height of 2.10 m.

There are also quarters for a crew of four. In addition, there are numerous sections for storing supplies necessary for long voyages.

AvA Yachts is currently working on the next hull that is looking for an owner. The second Kando 85 will be ready for delivery in the second quarter of 2027.
