A few years ago, the businessman blew up the social media with his viral dance videos on board luxury yachts. Now the charismatic blogger will be able to do it on board his own vessel

The Genie Blu that was launched recently is a bespoke yacht designed by Alia Yachts team in collaboration with Luca Dini Design & Architecture. The concept of the yacht has a lot in common with the previous hull created by the Turkish yard, the 45-metre SAN launched in 2024, and has already received several awards. Both projects feature visual purity and openness, ensuring unity with the ocean.

“The project is based on subtraction rather than addition. We removed barriers, reduced unnecessary volume and opened the yacht wherever possible. The objective was not to maximize gross tonnage, but to maximize the owner’s experience of the sea,” explains designer Luca Dini.

Thanks to the clean architectural exterior lines and low modern profile with an axe bow, the Genie Blu looks really elegant.

The semiplaning hull and superstructure are of aluminium. However, only the top of the superstructure construction is metal with a compact sunpad aft. There is glass instead of walls all around it, allowing the guests to admire the 360-degree views.

The absence of any bulky barriers ensures smooth access to the water: there are wide steps cascading from the elevated cockpit lounge to the sunpads and on to the swim platform. In addition, the stern bulwarks feature fold-down sections that expand the beach area significantly.

One should also note the split-level bow layout: a sunken lounge adjacent to the saloon provides privacy, while the raised foredeck serves as a sunbathing area. There are no conventional high bulwarks there, as the designers opted for thin railing not to obstruct the view.

With a length of 45 m, a beam of 8.89 m and a draft of 2.33 m, the yacht’s internal volume 370 GT, which is quite enough for the accommodation of ten guests across five cabins and a crew of seven.

Luca Dini Design & Architecture team chose a contemporary style for the interior, the deliberate neutrality of which will prevent it from going out of fashion for years: the emphasis is on ergonomics and calm colours. The palette of light beige shades makes all the spaces feel light and airy and full of sunlight even in cloudy weather.

Four diesel Volvo Penta engines allow the Genie Blu to reach a top speed of 23 knots, while at a cruising speed of 14-16 knots the range is 1,400 nautical miles.

The yacht was christened after Gianluca Vacchi’s daughter, whose name is Blu Jerusalema. This summer the Genie Blu is most likely to be spotted in the most popular ports of the Italian and French Rivieras, as the "dancing millionaire" plans to spend his first season in the Mediterranean.
