The first unit in Maestro 88 series has hit the water at the facility of Italian Apreamare yard, specializing in designing and building gozzo sorrentino yachts that are traditional for the region
The model that has a length of 27.1 m, a beam of 7 m and a draft of 1.8 m features a semi-displacement hull and a trawler-style superstructure. The exterior and naval architecture are owed to the yard’s long-time partners, architect Marco Casali and engineer Umberto Tagliavini.
With twin MAN V12 of 2000 hp each she can reach a top speed of 28 knots and a cruising speed of 22 knots. The yard can also offer a less powerful propulsion system for those who are not after speed. Twin engines of 1650 hp ensure a cruising speed of 17 knots and a top speed of 23. At a speed of 10 knots the fuel capacity of 8000 litres will provide a range of 1000 nuatical miles without refuelling.
Apreamare emphasizes the fact that the yacht features “all-Italian” build and outfitting, as it uses the suppliers and artisans from its native Campania region only. The Maestro 88 interior implies a highest level of customization not only in terms of finishes, but also furniture and layouts. The first hull features a four-cabin layout, and each cabin is ensuite. There is also a “studio”, which is a small lounging area with an electric piano. However, owners are free to replace the studio with a fifth, guest cabin. There are also two cabins for a crew of four.
As for the al fresco areas, there is a traditional aft cockpit, a generous swimming platform, an open area on the foredeck and certainly a flybridge with solar panels to make up for some of the yacht’s energy.
