The flagship of the sailing line by the Polish-French enterprise is the embodiment of the “green” approach to luxury travels, as the Sunreef 100 Eco is silent, uses no fossil fuel and produces no harmful emissions
This yacht is a culmination of Sunreef Yachts’ design traditions and eco developments: she embodies the best of the yard’s most popular catamarans, including the Sunreef 50, 60, 70, 80, and technologically goes even further to feature a number of new “green” know-hows.
The vessel with a length of 28.65 m, a beam of 12.80 m and a draft of 2.5 m is built of composite materials. The Sunreef 100 Eco’s key advantages are modern electric motors with specially designed battery bank and integrated solar panels.
Two electric motors of 180-270 kW (depending on the configuration) ensure silent operation and no vibration. Highly efficient ultra-light batteries range from 770 to 990 kWh.
More than 240 sq.m of solar panels are integrated into the superstructure roof and bimini top, as well as the sides of the hull. This proprietary technology generates up to 46 kWp of renewable energy and covers all the systems’ needs not only in sunny, but also cloudy weather.
The sailing rig includes a mainsail, a genoa and a gennaker. The total sail area is individual for every custom project. While under sail, the vessel’s hydro-generators efficiently harness kinetic energy, transforming motion into continuous green power.
The renewable sources of energy along with the water capacity of 1,600 L make the Sunreef 100 Eco highly autonomous. No wonder the catamaran has a CE Category A (Ocean).
One of the yacht’s exterior highlights is the signature Ocean Lounge, borrowed from the innovative Sunreef NEXT yacht concept. This generous aft area is versatile. Two staircases connect the huge cockpit with a sofa, a bar and a dining table to the hydraulic platform between two hulls, which can also be increased with the help of fold-down bulwarks. There is also an “invisible” garage here capable of accommodating two jet skis, water bikes and a dive locker.
One can install a jacuzzi on the flybridge, where there is enough space for sunbathing and socializing. There is another exterior lounge forward, which can become the owner’s private terrace if the master cabin is located on the main deck.
The Sunreef 100 Eco’s layout is fully customisable. The owner’s suite can be located in the left hull and then the guest cabins and the galley will be in the right one. Alternatively, the owner’s cabin can be moved to the main deck, with four guest cabins below. The purpose of the cabins is flexible, too: the owner can have a gym, a spa or an office on board. The total area of liveable spaces on board is 501 sq.m.
“With the Sunreef 100 Eco, we are proving that the future of superyachting can be both luxurious and responsible,” said Francis Lapp, founder and president of Sunreef Yachts. “Combining electric propulsion, solar power and the efficiency of sailing, this yacht sets a new benchmark for clean cruising.”
The yard is planning to finish final outfitting and sea trials this summer, after which the Sunreef 100 Eco will head for Monaco for the world premiere in September 2026.
