The first Pershing GTX80 was launched on 3 April on the Adriatic coast of Italy at the Pershing yard in Fano. The official world premiere of the Pershing GTX80 is scheduled for the Cannes Yachting Festival in September 2024
The yacht has a sporty spirit, but at the same time can boast generous living spaces. The exterior in classic Pershing grey features an almost vertical bow, while the bulwarks have been lightened by a longitudinal slot.
The stern bulwarks perform a dual function: they incorporate the winches and while at anchor they fold out and turn into the terraces at the level of water. It is the first time Pershing has adopted this kind of solution with the aim of providing the guests closer contact with the water.
The bathing platform can be fixed in two different positions – apart from the default one. It can be raised to the level of the “beach” area and unite the entire aft space, or lowered to make the tender and water toys launch easier.
The yacht has two decks and a sportbridge and is meant to accommodate eight guests in four cabins. There are crew quarters for two aft. The standout feature of the Pershing 80GTX is really light, airy spaces and extensive glazing on the main deck.
Right behind the helm station fitted with three 24-inch screens there is a living area with a generous corner sofa. The dining area on the first unit features free standing furniture. The galley is located right at the entrance to the saloon from the open cockpit, which unites both of the spaces. The black finish elements create contrast with the light floor and the silver lacquered ceiling, decorated with multiple intersecting diagonal LED lamps that diffuse the light.
The sportbridge of 23 sq.m is quite spacious and is about 60% larger than the category average, according to the shipyard. The light aerodynamic hardtop (optional but available on the first hull) is made of carbon fibre, which ensures the aesthetic appeal and does not affect the performance characteristics of the boat.
With three VOLVO PENTA D13 IPS1350 engines of 1000 hp each the Pershing GTX 80 can develop a top speed of 34 knots and a crusing speed of 28 knots.
