Sarp Yachts XSR Hybrid: second hull delivered
Antalya-based Sarp Yachts has delivered the second yacht in XSR Hybrid series, whose technical launch and sea trials took place at the end of 2023
The design of Sarp Yachts XSR Hybrid was developed by Turkish Red Yacht Design studio, while the FDHF (Fast Displacement Hull Form) is owed to Dutch Van Oossanen. This kind of hull is capable of operating efficiently across a diverse range of speeds. Besides, the advanced hybrid propulsion system makes Sarp Yachts XSR Hybrid a good example of implementing this solution on rather a compact vessel of 25.7 m (85 ft).
In the engine room there are two 800hp MAN engines, two 70-kilowatt Kohler generators, two 50-kilowatt Praxis electric motors and a battery bank. All of these allow the yacht to have a range of 1,400 nautical miles at 10 knots.
Another XSR Hybrid’s stand-out feature is her solar panels, providing energy for the so-called “hotel load”.
The XSR Hybrid superstructure features expansive glazing, and there is a huge long side window in the hull, allowing for an open plan layout and a seamless integration of interior and exterior spaces. There are four cabins for the owner and the guests, and two for a crew of four below deck.
The full-beam master suite boasts two walk-in wardrobes (his and hers) and a generous bathroom. If necessary the VIP cabin may turn into a lounge that can serve as a cinema or a living room.
