PROyachting Winter Challenge has been held on the Black Sea since 2020
This regatta is meant for experienced yachtsmen who want to keep in shape during the off-season. The races take place on modern sports J/70 sailing yachts.
The second stage of the regatta in the 2024-2025 season was held from January 31 to February 2. Three racing days pleased the participants with the weather conditions and a good wind of 5 to 10 knots, with gusts up to 20. There were 12 races altogether. The winner of the stage is Zecurion Team with 21 points.
“This stage was really cheerful, full of energy. Everything worked out well: the weather, the number of races, – said Alexey Rayevskiy, Zecurion Team’s helmsman. – We performed quite well in the first two days, we were often lucky, and the team worked very well. But it is very difficult to stay at the peak for a long time, so on the third day there was a slight lapse. However, our initial gains helped us remain among the leaders, which we are really happy about.”
Russo Trans team came second (24 points), and the bronze went to Skolkovo Sailing Team 5 (27 points).
