Two Oceans Marine is based in Cape Town, where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Indian, which explains the meaning of the shipyard’s name

The South African company that specializes in building custom motor and sailing catamarans has launched a new vessel, the 26.6-metre motor catamaran named Amavi. The yacht is the result of a long-time partnership between Two Oceans Marine and South African design studio, Du Toit Yacht Design, which is an expert in catamarans.

Although the Amavi is quite a large boat with a length of 26 m a beam over 12, three decks and a flybridge, there are only three cabins on board. The owner’s suite is located on the upper deck, and two ensuite guest cabins are below deck. There are also crew cabins in each hull.

The main deck is dedicated to social areas completely: there is a huge saloon, a galley and two cockpits forward and aft for al fresco living. There is also a large exterior space at the very top, on the flybridge.

The Amavi was designed for the owner who plans to go on long voyages across the Indian Ocean. For this reason the catamaran’s outfitting is aimed at autonomy and entertainment far from civilization. The fuel capacity is 11 400 L, there are a lot of water toys and two cranes for launching them, as well as a well-equipped dive centre.
