The contract for the construction of the custom yacht was signed in the summer of 2024. Now the technical launch of the Baltic 121 Custom has taken place at the yard's Jakobstad facility and she is to undergo sea trials when the final outfitting is over
The Baltic 121 Custom was commissioned by passionate yachtsmen, fond of long-range family cruises. They dreamed of having a high-performance, reliable yacht that is not hard to handle and is a good fit for family voyages.
For the exterior style and naval architecture development they turned to Malcolm McKeon’s studio, whose motto is to create “exceptional yachts for visionary people, taking superyacht design to a new level of styling, performance & comfort”.
The renowned designer offered them a hard-chined full-carbon hull with a length of 37 m and a beam of 8.3 m, lightweight and with sleek lines to ensure high speed. The telescopic keel with a draft ranging from 6.4 to 4.2 m will ensure a stable course in fresh winds and ability to navigate shallow waters. There are no details about the sloop’s rig yet, but the yard’s official release says it’s “generous”.
There is a recess in the Baltic 121 Custom’s deck forward in the shape of a RIB. When it is on the water, the area can be turned into a cosy lounging spot with pillows.
To add comfort, there is a fixed bimini tent, which provides shade for all of the spacious guest cockpit. For those who are fond of sunbathing there are two sofas between the helms aft. One of the Baltic 121 Custom’s highlights is her sleek superstructure protected with glass on three sides. There is no doubt that the saloon will boast excellent visibility and abundance of light.
The interior was entrusted to British Adam Lay Studio. According to its head, Adam Lay, and it will feature modern and nature-inspired, with clean lines and muted wood tones. Even the fabrics will be chosen with practicality and longevity in mind. However, other details of the yacht’s interior are still kept under wraps.
The delivery of the Baltic 121 Custom is scheduled for the autumn of 2026.
