AMAALA yachting hub opens on Saudi Red Sea coast

AMAALA is located about 2,000 nautical miles from Monaco, which is closer to the Mediterranean than the Caribbean, and it takes just 45 minutes to get to Alwajh International Airport. The average temperature throughout the season here is 23–26°C.

The yacht club was designed by a well-known international architectural firm, HKS Architects, best known for its monumental and technologically advanced projects in the sports, healthcare and hospitality sectors. The designers say they drew inspiration on unique rock formations on the Saudi Red Sea coastline, as well as traditional forms of Arabian architecture. 

AMAALA Marina offers 119 berths and is capable of accommodating yachts of up to 130 metres in length. In the nearest future, it will offer its guests a wide range of extra services including fuelling, maintenance and repairs. 

In the generous territory of 7,900 square metres there are various restaurants and lounges for relaxing and socialising, a rooftop pool, private and social meeting suites and areas for all kinds of events. A number of luxury resorts has recently opened here, including Four Seasons, Six Senses, Rosewood, Equinox and Nammos. 

The AMAALA Yacht Club Academy will offer sailing and other water sports programmes and is planning to host international yachting events throughout the year. For now, it is known that it’s going to be a “centrepiece” of the The Ocean Race 2027’s Grand Finale.
