The first unit of the Ultima 55 catamaran built in the United Arab Emirates by Sunreef Yachts has left the facility in Ras Al Khaimah
The new motor catamaran was launched on 11 February 2025 and is now undergoing sea trials in the Arabian Gulf. The boat is to make her debut at the Dubai International Boat Show, which will take place in Dubai Harbour on 19-23 February 2025.
The new Ultima range includes hybrid catamarans, which are the most eco-friendly of all Sunreef motor vessels. They stand out for their elegant design and a combination of the best of monohull dynamics with multihull safety and stability.
Sunreef Yachts started its expansion in the UAE in 2022 by building a modern production facility in Ras Al Khaimah. The yard with an area of 65 000 sq.m is equipped with state-of-the-art technologies required to produce the most eco-friendly and highly efficient catamarans.
The new facility in Ras Al Khaimah was inaugurated on 4 March 2024 by His Highness Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, with former Polish President and Nobel Peace Prize Laureate HE Lech Wałęsa as the guest of honour.
