The GX42 will be the first vessel built by the recently established GX Superyachts brand belonging to the Slovenian expert in hybrid technologies, Greenline Yachts
Both the exterior and interior of the GX42 are owed to designer Marco Casali from Italian Too Design studio. The naval architecture was entrusted to Francesco Rogantin from NAMES.
There are two versions of the GX42 available: RPH, which is a raised pilothouse version, and Coupé with a hardtop that can slide apart at anchor to reveal a sundeck with a jacuzzi, a bar and a lounge area.
Both versions feature a minimalist, sporty profile, a huge aft platform with fold-down terraces, integrated 27 kW solar panels, a hybrid propulsion and an opportunity to cover up to 100 nautical miles at a speed of six knots in the full-electric mode.
Under diesel motors, the yacht can reach a provisional top speed of 12 knots and offer an incredible range of over 11 500 nautical miles at six knots.
There is also a special mode for anchorage, when the guests will be able to use all the onboard equipment, including air conditioning, in complete silence and with no noise or smell exhaust fumes.
The first GX42 unit that is currently in build in Tuzla is an RPH version with a flybridge.
The delivery is scheduled for the summer of 2026, and according to the shipyard, the GX42 is sure to set a new benchmark in environmental performance thanks to the serial hybrid drive and powerful solar batteries.
