First, the designers decided to give new life to the commercial vessel, and now they propose turning her into a real floating oasis
The conversion of a 150-metre container ship into a luxury yacht that was unveiled at the end of 2024 by Italian Mario Biferali Yacht Design and Dutch Oceanco yard, became the first in their joint collection of “postindustrial” concepts named Nacht.

The size of the vessel with the internal volume of 10 630 GT allows her to accommodate all possible modern attributes of luxury yachting. There is a helipad for large helicopters, a huge pool, a spa centre with a sauna, a hammam and a beauty salon; there are sport facilities including rooms for doing Pilates and yoga, and even a tennis court; there is a cinema and a Super-VIP multilevel apartment; and, certainly, there are numerous lounges.

A short time ago the designers decided to add the icing on the cake: a green area with live plants named the Sea Garden. It is proposed to make it on the lower deck, where natural light will get through the glass ceiling and vast windows in the side of the vessel. Thus, it will be possible to create a controlled microclimate there and to protect it from the wind. In the central part of the space there will be a lounge with a bar and sofas, and there will be flora walls and various potted plants along the walls. The tropical plants will be selected in order to bloom all year round.

“Here, the sea is not just a picturesque backdrop, but an integral part of the design," explains Mario Biferali. "The Sea Garden becomes a suspended oasis between sky and sea, where greenery and water intertwine in perfect harmony, and the scent of nature and flowers blends with the sea breeze".
By the way, the word “Anthos” means “flower” or the flourishing period in Greek. So, with the appearance of the Sea Garden the idea of the concept comes to fruition.
