The yacht’s naval architecture was developed by German judel/vrolijk & co studio, and the interior and exterior design was created in-house in collaboration with Santa Maria Magnolfi
The wallywind110 launching ceremony was attended by the management of the shipyard, as well as the whole team involved in her creation with their families. The sailing yacht stands out for her impressive metallic blue colour of the all carbon hull and the 6.9-metre telescopic keel.
“The launch of this first semi-custom sail model since Wally became part of Ferretti Group in 2019 is a very significant moment for us,” says Stefano de Vivo, Wally Managing Director. “Not only does it coincide with the brand’s 30th anniversary, but it also once again confirms how relevant the sailing superyacht sector is for Wally. We have always been leader in this segment, and we aim to continue anticipating market trends by creating yachts capable of becoming true benchmarks in both yachting and design”.
According to the yard, the wallywind110 is an extraordinary combination of a comfortable cruising yacht and performance capabilities of a racing boat. The 80- square-meter cockpit may be freed completely for the time of the races, or equipped as a dining or lounge areas and a beach club for up to 15 people. There are lots of customization opportunities for various areas of the boat, and there is a side tender garage.
The saloon offers an open-plan layout with different areas for work and relaxation, and thanks to the side windows and the skylight it is full of natural light during the day. There are four cabins for eight guests, including a master suite forward. Three more cabins can accommodate a crew of five.
“The wallywind110 is not just a superyacht that promises impressive performance,” explains Luca Bassani, Wally Founder and Chief Designer. “The thoughtful study of the wallywind110’s deck spaces has resulted in an 80 square meter cockpit, free of technical equipment (relocated to the stern), comparable to that of a sailing superyacht at least 60 meters long. The owner and their guests can relax on sofas, sunbeds, and seating. Not to mention the other two lounge areas located on the ‘sea terrace’ at the stern and on the foredeck.”
The shipyard hopes that the sailboat christened Galma will be duly appreciated, and announces that it has already started the construction of the second wallywind110 hull.
