The 26.5-metre Swan 88 was launched in April, just a week after the launch of the first unit named DreamCatcher
The naval architecture of the model is owed to German Frers, and the exterior design was created by Lucio Mcheletti. To enhance the performance of the boat christened Spiip, she was equipped with a square top mainsail and winch upgrades.
The main deck is divided into four areas. The first one is the guest cockpit, featuring an upgraded coach roof design with an integrated sprayhood and a bimini. Modular benches make this space really versatile, so it can be used as a dining room or an informal lounge. It is followed by two helms.
The aft deck is home to a beach club of new design, with direct access to the water and a tender garage. And finally, forward of the mast, there is the fourth area called Sunset Lounge, where one can relax and admire the sunset in comfort.
Spiip’s modern interiors were styled by Misa Poggi and feature a neutral colour palette with warm backlighting integrated into the furniture and the staircase.
“The series presents a super-smart opportunity for owners to reduce running costs by chartering, as this design cleverly satisfies the critical 24-metre load line length rule. Nautor Swan’s decision to develop the Swan 88 stems from the aim to offer a true performance superyacht based on an efficient platform, minimising management costs and simplifying the charter certification process," said a spokesperson for the yard.
