The Saudi Red Sea Authority (SRSA) was created in 2021
The SRSA’s key goals are to promote tourism, to enhance marine infrastructure and to issue relevant licenses and permits. All of this is aimed at the creation of the most attractive environment for tourists, yachtsmen and investors in the Red Sea region.
Recently the SRSA issued a license to Al-Ahlam Marine company for the new marinas in Yanbu and Al-Lith. The company already has two licensed facilities: the Red Sea Marina in Jeddah and two Al-Ahlam marinas in Jeddah and Jazan.
The new licenses improve tourism infrastructure by providing mooring for yachts and boats and ensuring compliance with the highest safety and hospitality standards.
The Middle East yachting industry keeps developing actively, with the key goal of these numerous initiatives being to make the Red Sea and the Gulf region the leading winter destination for superyachts. The same goal of enhancing the industry’s presence in the region is set for the upcoming Gulf Superyacht Summit 2024, scheduled to take place for the 6th time on 4-5 December 2024 at the five-star Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai.
