Four decks, enhanced hull lines, large internal volume and eco-conscious propulsion proved to be so appealing to the clients that several Azimut Grande 44M hulls were sold prior to the model’s official premiere
The latest Azimut Grande 44M is the embodiment of everything that Azimut’s head of design product, Federico Lantero, refers to as "intentional living": the philosophy behind the yacht is about creating spaces that are easy to adjust to the owner’s everyday routine, mood and lifestyle preferences.
Thus, the elegant exterior penned by Alberto Mancini boasts a bold solution: the helm station has been moved to the fourth, topmost deck. This allowed for turning the second deck into a dedicated owner’s penthouse, featuring private terraces that can also be used as dining areas or gym. The tinted glazing all around the master suite ensures amazing panoramic views.
The four cabins below allow for transformation, so the total number of guests on board can increase up to 12.
The interior design by Milan-based m2atelier seem to challenge conventional yacht layouts. Thus, diagonal walls in the owner's bathroom instead of doors change the habitual perspective and add space. Although it is not small anyway: with a length of 43.85 m and a beam of 8.65 m, the yacht’s internal volume is 499 GT.
The vessel’s construction features quite a few innovations, too. The fiberglass Dual Mode hull design, which is the result of Azimut-Benetti Group’s R&D department’s collaboration with P.L. Ausonio Naval Architecture, ensures comfort and stability both in the displacement and semi-planing modes even in rough seas. Another special feature is Hull Vane foil technology, decreasing the total hull resistance and allowing one to reduce fuel consumption by 20-30%.
This advanced construction is reinforced by the Mild Hybrid system, developed in partnership with Asea Nautica. It features two 50 kW electric motors configured as shaft generators and a 188-kWh battery room expandable to 230 kWh. It is worth mentioning here that it takes just two hours to fully recharge the battery at a speed of 15 knots.
The vessel’s top speed is 17 knots, her cruising speed is 12 knots, and in the Mild Hybrid Plus Zero Emission Hotel Mode she can operate for 4 to 8 hours with generators off in complete silence.
And that is not all. In addition to hybrid propulsion, the Azimut Grande 44M features 30 sq.m of photovoltaic panels, ensuring additional renewable energy and supporting the zero-emission concept.
