Anjelif is a new 50-metre custom yacht by Columbus Yachts, which is going to make a debut at the Monaco Yacht Show 2024 that will run on 25-28 September
Both Anjelif’s exterior and interior design are owed to Marco Casali from Too-Design. The naval architecture comes from Hydro Tec, and the engineering systems were designed in-house.
Apart from the unusual champagne hull, the yacht stands out for her hybrid diesel-electric propulsion and onboard sanitisation systems. The airflow in both indoor ventilation and air conditioning is cleaned from viruses and bacteria with the help of cold plasma.
Anjelif can accommodate up to 10 guests in five cabins and a crew of 11. In accordance with the onwer’s wishes, the interior features mainly natural materials. A lot of attention has been paid to wellness: there is a gym, a sauna and a massage room on board. There is a pool with a teak finish aft, and a jacuzzi on the upper deck.
There is a touch-and-go helipad on the foredeck, so the helicopter is not stored on board. When the pad is not in use, it can convert into an open-air cinema.
The hybrid system engineered by Palumbo Group is made up of a lithium battery pack and twin 100kW electric motors, which deliver a speed of about nine knots. Coupled with the main diesel engines, the electric motors can be used as shaft generators, so the main generators can be switched off when the boat is under way. With twin MTU engines of 1,939 hp each Anjelif can reach a speed of up to 20 knots, while at 12 knots she can boast a range of 3,000 miles.
