Admiral Yachts announces keel laying of 70-metre yacht

Admiral Yachts shipyard, which is part of The Italian Sea Group, has started construction of the first Admiral 70M hull

The official keel laying ceremony of the Amiral 70M C.615 took place on 19 April in Marina di Carrara 

The number just stands for the the six hundred and fifteenth yacht manufactured by Admiral Yachts. And it is the first hull to be built on the basis of Admiral 70M platform. 

With a steel hull and an aluminium superstructure, the Admiral 70M has the internal volume of 1350 GT. The entire project was developed by Admiral Centro Stile, the in-house division of The Italian Sea Group. The exterior of the yacht features elegant lines and expansive glazing. The yacht is meant to accommodate up to 14 guests in seven cabins, and there are 10 more crew cabins. 

The performance characteristics have not been revealed yet. It is only known that the yacht will be powered by twin Caterpillar engines. The completion of the construction and delivery to the owner are scheduled for 2026.
