Bering Yachts lays keel for first B60 CAT multihull
At present the new line of expedition motor catamarans from Bering Yachts consists of two models
And if the larger one, B80 CAT, is currently at the development stage, the first B60 CAT is already under construction. Her keel was laid at the yard’s facility in Antalia recently. The happy owners welded a coin to it, while Bering Yachts opened a new page in the segment of multihull vessels.
With a length of 18.7 m, the B60 CAT has a beam of 8.6 m, a draft of 1.3 m, and a displacement of 62.8 tonnes at full load. The all-aluminium vessel is equipped with two Cummins engines capable of delivering a cruising speed of 12-13 knots, and a top speed of 15 knots.
Like other Bering yachts, the B60CAT has a long range: 3000 nautical miles at a speed of 10 knots and a fuel capacity of 10000 litres. The small draft allows for navigation in such shallow waters like the Caribbean Sea, inland and coastal waters.
The B60 CAT offers different layout options: with four, five or six cabins, which makes the yacht equally suitable both as a private and as a charter boat. One can also choose a version with an open or an enclosed flybridge.
The main deck houses a spacious saloon of 46 sq.m with a living room, a dining room, a galley and a helm station. There are over 27 sq.m of open deck space on the flybridge for storing a tender and water toys, as well as a crane for launching them. However, this area can also be used as a lounge. There is another open recreation area on the foredeck. The hydraulic platform of 10 sq.m can rise to the level of the aft cockpit (25 sq.m) to make it even larger.
