The X106 Fast’s planing hull will be made in composite material with carbon reinforcements
According to the shipyard, the new project is a “concentration of power and volume” ensuring both comfortable spaces on board and impressive performance. The project was almost entirely developed by Palumbo Superyachts team, except for the collaboration with Agon Studio for the exterior design.
The boat’s dynamic appearance is owed to the fact that the superstructure has been brought forward, as well as to the generous open aft section. The flybridge has been brought aft quite noticeably and integrated into the profile harmoniously. Expansive glazing of the hull and superstructure ensure abundance of natural light, while the streamlined profile makes the X106 Fast look modern and elegant at the same time.
The hull and the superstructure are made in composite material with reinforcments of carbon. The boat has an overall length of 32.3 m, a beam of 7.6 m, and a draft of just 1.35 m, which allows her to enter shallow waters.
The open aft section comprises terraces descending to the water and takes up about 85 sq.m. It is the main exterior lounging area, with a beach club featuring a dedicated sunbathing area and a transforming swimming platform, as well as a lounge with ample seating and fold-down bulwarks, which extend the beam by nine metres. The third area is the dining room adjoining to the galley and taking quite a lot of interior space, but allowing one to serve both the cockpit and the main saloon with an L-shaped sofa, armchairs and a bar.
The bow section of the main deck is split level, with a wheelhouse slightly higher, and the owner’s cabin in the lower part. Thanks to this solution, the owner received floor-to-ceiling windows, while the ceiling height in the lounge may go up to 3 metres. To reinforce this airy effect there is also a skylight in the ceiling.
In addition to the owner’s suite, there are three cabins below deck: two twins with an optional third berth and a VIP cabin aft. There are also quarters for a crew of four.
The flybridge looks compact only on the outside, but in fact it boasts an area of about 50 sq.m, which is home to a large dining area in the shade of a hard top, a bar with stools, a lounge with sofas and sun loungers. There is another cosy lounge area with sofas and a coffee table on the foredeck.
The stern garage can accommodate a 4-metre tender and water toys, while three 2,000 hp MAN V12 diesel engines with MJP booster can accelerate this boat of 120 T (at full load) up to 40 knots and ensure a cruising speed of 30 knots.
