The new sailing brand named Mishi Yachts was created by Yonca Shipyard, which has been making fast military, patrol and rescue boats for almost 40 years
The first yacht from Mishi Yachts – the 26-metre Mishi 88 – was unveiled at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2023. “It was rewarding to hear in Cannes that we had hit the nail on the head with the Mishi 88,” said Chairman and founder of the Yonca Shipyard, Şakir Yılmaztürk, who is also the owner of the yacht . “People cannot believe how much space there is on board, and the headroom below is exceptional. Working with Taka Yacht Design, our intention all along was to bring the comforts of motoryachting to the more refined platform of a sailing boat. Although it was never my plan, this emboldened me to consider producing more sailing yachts to the same high spec. In this way, Mishi Yachts was born and we started work on a bigger 102-footer.”
The Mishi 102 does have similar characteristics to the Mishi 88, but on a larger scale. With a length of over 31 metres, she is already “in a different league” and meets full RINA classification. Mishi Yachts has not revealed all the details yet, but promises that the boat will feature the latest tech, state-of-the-art engineering, exquisite interior, and will accommodate 8 guests and and a crew of 4.
Both Mishi Yachts models are moulded in foam sandwich carbon composite, which Yonka uses for building fast, light patrol powerboats. Using it for a sailboat allows it to create an efficient seaworthy hull with generous internal volumes to ensure extraordinary comfort on board.
The Mishi 102 has a roomy cockpit shaded by a carbon-fibre bimini. Below deck there is a saloon with an open-plan galley. In their standard configuration, both models (102 and 88) offer the owner’s large ensuite cabin at the bow. The crew quarters are located further forward, and the guest cabins are aft, featuring the berths that can be transformed as twins or doubles. There is also a tender garage aft. The interior design is a matter of choice of the owner.
The Mishi 102 will be unveiled at the Monaco Yacht Show in September 2024.
