The highest degree of elaboration and the fact that an agreement has been signed with Northrop & Johnson brokers for the sale of the first five hulls confirm that the concept will soon become a real project
The delivery date of the first Infiniti 105 hull is already known, too: it is scheduled for 2025. So, if everything goes according to plans and the customer is found, we will soon have a chance to see the real boat hit the water. And there will definitely be a lot to look at.
The Infiniti 105 exterior has a minimalist aerodynamic design and reminds one of a racing car. The superstructure is partially made of glass and almost merges with the deck surface. All the protruding elements have been removed, while the cockpit and the helm stations are located on different levels.
The yacht will be built in compliance with the DNV class in pre-preg carbon fibre and a combination of foam and Nomex cores, cured under vacuum to ensure a lightweight but stiff structure.
According to her developers, the Infiniti 105 will boast “greater performance and comfort than any comparable yacht" and "reduced heeling and pitching", thanks to the Dynamic Stability Systems (DSS) foil.
The Infiniti 105 may have a more traditional, vertical bow, as well as a reverse one for those who want a "race-orientated and progressive feel" and plan to compete. Besides, there are a few layout options, a customised sail plan and an option of a hydraulic lifting keel, allowing one to reduce the draft from 5.6 to 3.6 metres.
Thanks to the glazed superstructure, the saloon is not short of natural light. There is accommodation for up to six guests in three ensuite cabins. The master is traditionally located forward, while the position of the galley may vary and can be moved either forward or aft.
The interior proposal from Design Unlimited is quite flexible. The future owners of the Infiniti 105 will be able to choose the finishes and the furniture to suit their taste and needs, as well as make some changes to the layout of particular areas.
