Columbus Yachts started construction on the Crossover 48 on spec, and the keel laying ceremony took place at the Palumbo Superyachts shipyard in Savona

The new Columbus Crossover 48 is described as “a next-generation explorer vessel designed for those who experience the sea as a realm of exploration and beauty”.

The four-deck vessel with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure is based on a proven naval platform, which ensures a balance of modern, elegant aesthetics and functionality.

The beam of the displacement hull with a bulbous bow is 8.60 m, the draft is 2.75 m, and with a length of 48 m, the Crossover 48 is a stable, autonomous yacht capable of crossing the oceans under various conditions.

Together with the shipyard, Hydro Tec studio took care of the Crossover 48’s naval engineering. They tried making every space on board as versatile as possible to enhance the time spent on board and “multiply the possibilities of experiencing the sea in all its nuances”.

The exterior design reflects the model’s strong and decisive identity: taut lines, muscular volumes and sculpted proportions in the bow section, which is the distinctive feature not only of the Crossover 48, but most authentic explorers.

The Crossover 48 has an amazing ability to transform: the spacious cockpit can accommodate a large tender thanks to the recessed crane, or turn into a “refined oasis” with a pool, lounge and social areas.

The vessel can accommodate up to 12 guests across six cabins: there are four cabins below deck, a VIP cabin on the main deck, while the owner’s suite is on the upper deck.

According to the shipyard, the Columbus Crossover 48 is not just a yacht, but “a new way of experiencing the sea, with the awareness that every journey is an opportunity to explore oneself, as well as the world”.
