The superyacht’s construction started at the yard’s facility in Bremerhaven, and she is scheduled to hit the water in October 2026
The yacht’s exterior and interior design is owed to American Píndaros firm in collaboration with Champeau & Wilde and Andy Waugh. The naval architecture comes from Azure Yacht Design & Naval Architecture.
The contract for Arwen’s construction was signed in 2022, and the client is an American billionaire, who is planning to take her both to the Caribbean and to the south of France. The motivation to build a yacht of his own was the ability to spend time away from noisy cities and crowds, and to have a place that feels like a true home, but at the same time beckons to his adventurous spirit.
Apart from an unusual exterior with a high inverted bow, an unconventional aft section and expansive glazing, the yacht stands out for a number of other features.
The yard has published the first renderings of the Nest, which is an enclosed observation spot. It is located on the upper level and looks like a glass dome with an amazing panoramic lounge inside. The area of about 20 sq.m houses sofa seating and a double bed, and there is a jacuzzi and a winter garden with a bar, a seating area, a bathroom and a shower.
It is also possible to use the Nest as the owner’s suite or turn it into a VIP cabin. But the main goal of this lookout spot is to allow the guests to retreat and admire sunrises and sunsets sipping cocktails and refreshment drinks.
The internal volume of 4950 GT allowed the designers to allocate the area generously. The owner’s suite with access to a foredeck lounge and a dining area boasts an area of 290 sq.m, while the main saloon of 190 sq. m is flooded with light thanks to huge windows and a ceiling height of almost 6 metres. There are also six cabins on the main deck: four doubles and two twins.
Another highlight is the 20-metre swimming pool on the main deck, the larger part of which can be raised to extend the deck area and provide more space for leisure and entertainment. Next to the pool there is a sunbathing area, a bar and a dining area partly shaded by the upper deck’s overhand.
The central atrium is decorated with noble marble finishes, pieces of art and a spiral stairway that connects the three main guest decks.
Besides, there is a helipad on the bridgedeck, cinemas, one of which is outdoor, as well as a spa centre, a gym and a beauty parlour below deck. The lower level is also home to a side garage tender and 18 crew cabins.
The Arwen’s provisional top speed is 15 knots, and her range at a cruising speed of 12 knots is about 5000 nautical miles.
