
As a result of the final stage, two trios got their awards: the best teams of the stage and the winners of the series. According to competition regulations, the points earned in the final stage were doubled, which could influence the overall standings considerably
Throughout the season there was fierce competition between Yury Morozov’s Russo Trans team and Aleksey Rayevsky’s Zecurion Team. The teams approached the final stage with a minimal gap in points, with Russo Trans being just one point ahead of its rivals.

The race could not be held on Friday, but Saturday and Sunday brought a stable wind of 8-12 knots. As a result of 10 races of the first stage, the leader of the season, Russo Trans team, won the stage, having scored 10 points.
There was a close fight for silver between Skolkovo Sailing Team 5 and Zecurion Team, who finished the stage with an equal number of points. But Skolkovo Sailing Team 5 had a slight advantage and got the silver medal, while bronze went to Zecurion Team.

The victory in the final stage brought Russo Trans team the title of the champion of the series and the PROyachting Winter Challenge cup. The team managed to strengthen its position in the overall ranking and to increase their lead over the closest rivals, Zecurion Team, who came second, by four points.
The bronze medals went to Skolkovo Sailing Team 5.
